I love seeing these beautiful blossom trees- but the allergies are too much some times.

Day 7- April 7

Every day I realize how beautiful Virginia is. Today we went to old town Alexandria near to the Potomac to take these cute pictures of Lily and discovered another great place to hang out in quiet summer evenings.

Day 5 - April 5

hanging out

Juleen and I went back to Target, for our "once a semester visit to Target". I met Juleen when i first came to CUA. Both of us are special, because we are the only transfer students. Hopefully we'll keep seeing each other even after school is over.

Day 4- April 4

Easter Day!

Easter Day in American is nothing like my Easter days in Romania! I miss those days.
However this day was special on its own. We woke up in the morning with a surprise call from a house seller. We saw the house the night before with a big sign- FOR SALE BY OWNER. In between conference talks we went to see it and as expected we were impressed and loved it. we absolutely loved it. Hopefully it will become ours.
After seeing the house Route I 66, took us to mom and Bob's house to watch the rest of the conference and have family Easter Dinner. There was no pasca, racitura, drop, cozonac or Easter eggs. Actually if you can believe me I saw no Easter egg this year, except a miniature Nestle chocolate egg. This year for Easter Dinner we had pho!
Hristos a inviat!

Day 3- April 3

Will we ever find our house?

Every Saturday we keep looking for our future home. We are propriety virgins with no experience, no knowledge of the area, and probably big demands. Its hard and I hope we'll find the perfect home for us soon. Today in between Conference sessions, we took a ride to old town Alexandria, and checked out the area of this beautiful old town house, only few blocks away from King street metro. I think i am falling in love with this area and Del Ray.

Day 2- April 2

Sometimes we do relax! Brandon does what I love the most- he plays hymns and some famous songs like Desperado and Let it be! Of course we are lucky to live in an apartment with thick cement walls, because he usually starts playing the piano for me before bed time and that is 1 a.m. for us:)

Day 1- April 1 2010

April 1 2010- the Holy Thursday and a day off from Catholic University. Also a beautiful spring day, when the twins celebrated their birthday in Romania and we joined some Brandon's coworkers for a b-day party on the roof of a DC apartment, for Emily's b-day.
This picture was taken from inside our apartment. We are enjoying the famous DC Cherry blossom festival from inside our home :)
